We are now accepting nominations for the 2018 Professional Writing Instructor Showcase Session, to be held during Showcase on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Ignite sessions are popular presentation model that requires presenters to use a maximum of twenty slides with each slide set to advance after 15 seconds, for a total of five minutes. It’s a fun and challenging format that allows presenters to quickly convey their ideas with time for questions after everyone has gone.
The Purdue Professional Writing Ignite Session is open to all current Professional Writing instructors, continuing lecturers, and graduate students with a Professional Writing secondary area. Presentations should be focused on pedagogy, curriculum design, assessment, program administration, and teaching-research related to professional writing and technical communication.
Applications will be due Monday, March 19 by 5pm. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of Professional Writing instructos and previous award winners, and presenters will be notified by Friday, March 23. To apply, you must submit a 250-word proposal (similar to what you would write for ATTW, CCCC, C&W, etc.) to the following Google Form: https://goo.gl/forms/MjRAhl9llVkMhFJ53
